Import and export
ImageReady accepts and exports PNG, JPG/JPEG, WebP, AVIF, and HEIC. HEIF containers containing HEVC images are accepted as HEIC. Same-format conversion re-encodes the image rather than copying the original file.
These are implemented conversion routes, not a guarantee for every possible container variant. Use a recent browser with WebAssembly SIMD and module workers. HEIC export additionally requires cross-origin isolation.
Transparency and color
PNG, WebP, and AVIF preserve transparency. JPG and HEIC use your chosen solid background. Output is 8-bit, and HDR tone mapping and ICC color management are not implemented.
Embedded profiles are removed, so wide-gamut colors may differ. EXIF, GPS, and other source metadata are removed from downloaded outputs.
Supported still images and limits
Animated PNG, WebP, and AVIF are not supported. HEIC containers use their primary image; Live Photo video is not processed. AVIF images with embedded crop metadata are rejected.
Limits are 50 images per batch, 50 MB per file, 20 megapixels per image, 200 MB of retained outputs, and a three-minute conversion timeout. Browser memory may impose lower practical limits.
