Prepare JPEG photos for the web

Convert JPG or JPEG photos to WebP with adjustable lossy quality or optional lossless encoding. WebP output is selected above. Add a batch, choose your settings, and download the results.

Optional resizing caps the longest edge while preserving aspect ratio. Smaller images are not enlarged. Compare output sizes before replacing images on your website.

Quality and output size

WebP can reduce photographic file sizes, but savings depend on the source, dimensions, and quality setting. Lossless WebP can be larger than the source JPG.

A lossless export preserves the prepared pixels; it cannot undo JPEG compression artifacts. Source metadata and embedded color profiles are removed.

How to convert JPG images

  1. Add your still images using the file picker or drag and drop.
  2. Choose output quality, background, and dimensions where available.
  3. Convert, compare previews, then download files individually or as a ZIP.

Images stay on your device. HEIC and AVIF can take longer to encode. Read the conversion guide for details.
